Aubrey DS is a singer-songwriter and record producer from Davao City. While working abroad in 2015, she discovered a love for music production. With just a laptop and a cheap microphone, she started producing electronic versions of her favorite songs. When she went home to the Philippines for good, she found inspiration in the local music scene that encouraged her to make her own music.
During 2020’s global situation, Aubrey wrote, performed, and produced her debut album Occasions Overlap in isolation. It was released on September 1, 2020, and she plans to release her new EP early this year.
The songs from her first album are a mix of indie-folk, electronica, and trip-hop. She enjoys challenging the versatility of her songwriting and production.
Though she loves playing her guitar and her MIDI keys, her voice is still her favorite instrument, as she gives birth to a song once she records her voice running every melody she discovers.
Aubrey is someone who doesn’t subscribe to being just “one thing,” because she loves to discover new ways to get creative. She’s also a visual artist, radio personality, voice actor, copywriter, senior producer for executive brands, and an overall curious person.
